Visa Requirements to Study in Canada
Visa requirements for students who want to study in Canada are different for students depending on their citizenship. The visa requirements are dependent on whether or not you need a visa to enter Canada.
Students from countries that do not need a visa to enter Canada will have to apply for electronic travel authorization (eTA) and a study permit. Students from countries whose citizens need a visa to enter Canada will have to apply for an entry visa in addition to the electronic travel Authorization and study permit.

Document Checklist for a study Visa in Canada:
To obtain a Canada study Visa you will need to bring the following Documents:
- A valid passport
- Acceptance letter from a designated learning institute
- Your travel history (your whole passport scanned to show where you have traveled to. ) Proof of sufficient funds
- Bank statements for at least the past 3 months
- 2 passport-sized photos
- Motivational letter explaining why you want to study in Canada
- Medical clearance certificate
- Previous educational certificates and CV – If your institute is in Quebec then you may need to submit Certificat d’ acceptation du Quebec to the Quebec government
- Submit a custodian declaration form if the applicant is less than 18 years old
- Police clearance from the law enforcement in your country
